Moody fog over the Bridge

Happy Holidays, Everyone!

On a bus ride north to have dinner with a friend, the Golden Gate Bridge views were amazing! Watching the tugboats sail languidly with a hazy backdrop made me wish I brought my camera. No worries, next time I will or I'll make a excursion.

On the approach to Sausalito and looking at the neighboring Tiburon beginning to get covered in fog made me wish I had my camera! The moodiness at dusk was captivating!

I may have to consider branching out from business, actor headshots and lifestyle photos. So much fodder for a San Francisco Bay Area Photographer!

Two important people with important happenings

I wanted to make special mention of a special man, my brother David. After battling renal cancer since last spring, he left this earth.

The things he rarely did: get mad. I think I saw him angry twice in my life.
The things he often did: played congas, whistled-seriously, he whistled all the time, and played with his granddaughter.

When I think of his mark, it would have to be encouragement, kindness and laughter. Many have those qualities, but this was who he was day in and day out. When life kicked your ass, you always could find David show you some love.

Recently, I was told my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. She's a cool lady but the symptoms are increasing. I just want her to be happy in her final years. My mom's stories get more skewed and blurry as time passes. Part of the reason I'm igniting photography and how it has a newfound importance is the importance of memory. I hope to use photography in my career to capture what is happening and also show the significance of it's fading.

I'll be exploring cancer and Alzheimer's organizations that I think would be worthy of donating and volunteering to, and posting here. As the holiday's inspire giving, I hope you will consider giving to a charity or organization that is close to your heart.

New destinations

Hello & thanks for stopping by!

First, I want to give credit on my headshot to a very talented Barry Eisenhart!

I thought that having a blog in tandem with my career direction would be a good way to support it, so here it is!

Ending 2014 has found me starting a photography business. It's a learning process but it's a great excuse to photograph more and have this previously hidden talent work for me. I'll still be acting, so let the auditioning commence! I've networked with some high profile creatives, so as those adventures unfold, you'll be the first to know!

Stay tuned for updates and maybe even some photos as I get it all set up!
